I've been in Ho Chi Minh twice and there are a lot of things you could do there. Apart from the hot weather (you'll need at least 3 or 4 little bottles of water in your bag, in case you'll visit the city from the morning to the noon). First, if you don't have any family there to take you go out and hang out with you, you can go by Uber or taxi (I recommend you to call VinaSun) or the best way would be to be with a group where a guide could bring you out in the safe places. 1. A little snack in Thao Dien The place where I did go with my cousins was in a little bakery in the new district Thao Dien called "Sweet And Sour Bakery" (I met some French people there too haha). Sellers also speaking English there so don't worry if you don't speak Vietnamese here. Just here... This bakery sells some really delicious cupcakes with different flavours really delicious and other kind of bakeries you like. What I ate was really delicious. The cupcake is called "Double chocolate". 2. A breakfast in District 5 My grandfather and his family invited us for a breakfast when we first arrived in Vietnam. I'll just say, if you're not used to eat like you eat at lunch, you should absolutely not eat this in the morning. But, of course, you can go and eat in this restaurant for lunch or for dinner because the dishes are so delicious. It is not a Vietnamese restaurant but I guess a Chinese one. I did not even have the energy to eat a lot because I was not used to eat this for breakfast in the morning but it's okay, I enjoyed eating this food. The restaurant is called "Nhà Hàng Ái Huê 2".
3. A dinner at Emart Emart is a shop where you can find Korean and also Vietnamese food, but especially Korean because Emart is a brand from South Korea. It has been assumed that Korea has a big influence in Asian countries, especially in Japan, Vietnam and China. (Actually, I've been influenced by kpop also haha). I guess the restaurant is only in Go Vap, in Ho Chi Minh. I'm not really sure... For dinner, I asked my family to eat with me in a Korean restaurant because they know I really love eating in Korean food. The one in France is not as good as the one in Vietnam. They make more dishes. I don't know what the name of the restaurant is but when you enter the mall, you see a big restaurant and it's the Korean one.
4. A visit in District 1 District 1 is the financial and commercial hub of Ho Chi Minh City. This district was designed by French architects during the colonial era, which explains the wide and frequent parklands. On a visit to Saigon you could spend all your time in District 1 and never want any restaurants. Malls are frequently there, especially the Vincom mall (beauty products, clothes, etc.). But you can also visit some French designed monuments such as Notre Dame de Saigon or the Saigon Opera House. 5. Artinus 3D Art Museum Located in District 7, 02-04, Đường số 9, Tân Hưng, Quận 7, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam, Artinus 3D Art Museum is a museum with 3D paintings, painted by 10 Korean artists. This museum was made to attract little children who love 3D paintings. Once you enter the museum, you'll be in an another world. My cousin and I tried this once, and we really loved taking 3D pictures, reminding us our childhood. Personally speaking, when I stepped through diffrent topic area, I was lost in a new world with different emotions and I was surprised about how they paint the 3D pictures in a related way. Pictures of people or nature are combined to make you dream. 6. Eating Vietnamese food Vietnamese food has always been my favorite food. Every time I go back to Vietnam, I always think of eating " Mì Hoành Thánh". This dish is made with noodles, soup, dumplings and vegetables. You can add it if you want to. I recommend you to do that, as well. Finding these restaurants are not that difficult because they are on every corner of the streets. You cannot go back to your country without eating once this dish or Vietnamese dish. Well, there are not also this dish but other traditional dish such as Bun Bo Hue or Pho (the most known worldwide dish). Don't eat dish you've already knew. Discover new taste and smell.
