The Korean foodie is coming back to you to tell you more about the dishes you should try to eat when you're visiting Paris, or even better, when you're in Korea, the country that makes the dishes better than anyone. Of course, I haven't tasted yet all the Korean dishes but I basically know the main ones. There are many Korean restaurants in which you can go eat in Paris, especially in Pyramides; this is kind of an Asian district: you can find Asian markets, Japanese restaurants, bubble teas (but a little bit too expensive for me...), etc. The restaurant that I really liked was "Chikoja" restaurant. I recommend this restaurant for people who don't like BBQ a lot but prefer noodles, soups or bentos. I ate there three times already I think and it was not that expensive for its quantity. Surprisingly, I would thought that the chef was Korean but he wasn't. I don't remember where he came from but the good thing in this restaurant is that the dishes are cooked in front of your eyes, so you can see the fire and it smells so good. Of course, before knowing what dishes I would take in this restaurant, I watched some Korean dramas and try to copy what people in the dramas ate. Then, the dishes that I've chosen were:

(NB: I didn't take those pictures, I saw on the Internet and wanted to put them on my blog because I found them really beautiful!) Watching Korean skincare beauty products on YouTube made me realize that I had to try it and to see the result. I actually heard some were really good for your skin, especially for hydrating and moisturizing. Joankeem, a vlogger, made me discover those skincare products. I'll introduce my favorite skincare products (especially Korean, but you can buy others if you're interested) that I've recently bought on YesStyle. So here's my 10 Top Korean Skincare Products. 1. COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner Surprisingly, this was the toner that I've first used. I saw on YouTube and on other social medias that this toner was an effective one, since it mosturizes well your skin; it works very well to balance the skin. I've seen the result 6 months after. It really moisturized my skin and clear the pores. My skin became softer and looked more beautiful than before. Using it twice a day is a good idea, instead of using it once. Morning and before sleeping is the right time to apply this toner, using a cotton pad. So, I highly recommend this toner. What YesStyle says about this product is that:
2. Etude House - Moistfull Collagen Emulsion 180ml I remember when I was in Florida, last July, with my cousin, we decided to bring to Florida our Korean skincare products, mine and hers. She introduced me this emulsion, I didn't even know this product before. So, I tested it and found it really moisturizing and soothing! This is a great lotion to use just before cream or by itself during summer as a light cream. I can definetely feel that my skin is drier if I skip out the emulsion in my skincare routine (I'll explain in another article about my 10 steps of skincare routine day & night). Plus, it is from Etude House and the Moistfull Collagen is a collection from the brand. Not only this product but others are as well as effective. To use this product, I first apply my COSRX toner and after that, the emulsion. The best thing that I love about this, is the smell. You can smell it from the moment you put the emulsion on your hand. What to do to get over sickness without taking any drugs? This year, I've probably caught a cold every month; when I've finally thought that I would get over my sickness, I was sick again.
The best solution is to drink hot water, mixing it with lemon and honey. Don't ever drink tea when being sick since the tea dries your body. My cousin told me to do that... I didn't know before and always drank tea, wondering why hot tea didn't even work on my body. So, water juice, clear broth or warm lemon water with honey helps you loosen congestion and prevents dehydration. Of course, avoid drinking alcohol, coffee (especially Starbucks Coffee) and caffeinated sodas, which can make dehydration worse. The second way is to rest. Your body needs to heal. Sleep all day if you need to. Don't overwork yourself and rest as much as possible. It doesn't matter if you didn't finish doing your homework (or work for those who have a job), your health, no matter what, comes first. Before working, you need to be in a good state in order to be as productive as you could be. Usually, when I am sick, my grandmother always uses her own Vietnamese traditional method to cure me. It is called the "Homemade Steam Bath". You firstly have to boil hot water in a pot. When it's boiling, put in some sea salt and lemongrass, enclose the pot with a lid, then turn the stove down to medium heat. After that, try to make a tent with a blanket and sit under the tent with the boiled water. Do this for 10 minutes and you'll feel better after doing that. There are also plants that help you to cure your sickness, but I don't know a lot about those plants so you should read articles about that on the Internet or ask someone who is specialized in this kind of medicine. PS: If you go to Vietnam, an interesting musuem for you to visit is the Fito Museum, a museum devoted to the Traditional Vietnamese Medicine & Pharmacy.
Who has ever dreamed of going to Disneyland Paris? Dreaming to have a man who proposes just in front of the princess' castle? WELL, me, YES. I've dreamed of that but I don't think this is going to happen soon. BUT, thinking positively, just let the man come to you naturally.
Anyways, originally known as Euro Disney Resort, this is the most visited theme park in all Europe. I've been there twice: once when I was 10 and the second time, just recently, in July for my cousin's friend birthday and it was the right occasion for me to comeback to my childhood. I forgot how Disneyland was fantastic and full of fantasy! I loved how beautifully the parc was built.
If you have never been to Disneyland (I won't hope that for all of you), the entire park has two subparks: the Walt Disney Studios and the Disneyland Park. The most recent park is the Disneyland one, and I've been loving this one since the last time I came there.
Before talking about the first attraction I did; when you enter the parc, you'll walk to a big path, just like a highway "TO THE PARADISE" with restaurants in both sides.
Hi my favorite people! How are you? It's been a long time since I've last posted an article about my lifestyle. I've been so "busy" going on holidays... Guess where I've been? The United States? Yes, but which state? So now, just before getting busier with my tests and stuff, I wanted to share to all of you, my skincare routine (not sponsored at all). Because I've been watching skincare routine videos on YouTube, I've tried some Korean products. I actually heard some were really good for your skin, especially for hydrating and moisturizing. Joankeem, a vlogger, made me discover those skincare. She's actually a really good YouTuber and that's why I've been subscribing her for several months now. As I'm growing, I have to take care of my skin by buying many products, even though they're not on sale.
Thanks to Joan, since now, I decided to buy some sheet masks (only products coming from Korea). They can be find everywhere: in Sephora (The Korean House), Innisfree, Etude House, Amazon, etc. The best way to know if they're good products, go to the shop and check or ask if it's a good one. To tell you the truth, during those sales, I bought 60$ sheet masks... Oopsies. Since now, I've been using "Tony Moly I'm Real" Sheet Masks. Have you ever been to Bath & Body Works? I don't think it does exist in France or in some other countries. Well, if you go to the United States, as it's an American brand, there are Bath & Body Works shops everywhere you go, in every state, and in every mall and outlet.
Everytime my family and I weren't doing anything at home, we would ask our aunt or uncle to drop us off at the closest mall from their house and then we found the famous American mall: Macy's. At first, when I entered in it, I was wondering why did I just see clothes everywhere. Is it just a mall for clothes? But then later, I was told that they were other shops. When I walked out of the clothes shop, I saw the Bath & Body Works shop, I was attracted by the smell and entered the shop. When I went there, there was two offer: - Buy 2 get 1 free - Buy 3 get 2 free I was so happy because we don't get offer like these in France, sales are everywhere in the United States, last act... That's why I bought too many clothes and too many products there. I felt in love with sales... and even want to book a flight and go back there. What if you were willing to eat the best Vietnamese dish during this Summer ? Since it's been one year that I haven't eaten this dish, I asked my mother to cook it so I would eat it with pleasure. The recipe is not that complicated : you'll just need to go to an Asian grocery store (either in Paris or in the country you live, well I'm sure there's always a district where you could find these ingredients). Actually, a good banh xeo is a crispy crepe bulging with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts, plus the garnish of fresh herbs that are characteristic of most authentic Vietnamese dishes.
To enjoy one like a local, cut it into manageable slices, roll it up in rice paper or lettuce leaves and dunk it in whatever special sauce the chef has mixed up for you. (CNN Travel description). I posted a little 16 seconds video about my mom and I making the Banh Xeo on Instagram... Hope you'll enjoy it! The story begins with a shiny Sunday morning, when my mother "obliged" me to go jogging. I hate it especially when it comes to sports running. More ! It was at 8.00 am... In this beautiful day, I suggest my mother that we should hang out a little bit as it was nearly the end of the winter vacation and because I didn't go out for these 2 weeks. Sometimes I want to hang out with my mother when the weather is kind of sunny. We don't have really time to go out like this with my mother so I'm enjoying every moment I spend with my mother, my precious lovely mother. I have only her in my life. Therefore, I decided to take my mom out to Paris, near the Champ Élysées. It was pretty cold but sunny... Well, yes, France has a weird weather and I'm wondering why a weather like this one... (the science, perhaps, could explain the reason why... - I'm a scientific student! - ).
Anyways, I was doubtful about the place we should have gone to. Perhaps the Musée de L'Orangerie or just visiting the Champs Élysée's long avenue... I asked many times to my mother which place she wanted to visit but she told me "I'm following you. If you want to go to a place, I'm cool with it. As long as you're happy at the end of this day." She's so nice with me... We're already in April... How can the time go by that fast ? Soon, we'll be in summer but spring is also a beautiful season... A season where colorful flowers grow, an astonishing season.
Just to say, in the country where I live now, the sun has already came. Temperatures rise up to 20 degrees. For some countries, 20°C could be nothing, not really hot but 20°C is something really big, for France. The country is hotter thanks to this temperature. I'm currently on Easter holidays so I have time to post a little bit... And suddenly, I thought : why would'nt I post about my last summer holidays ? The good weather reminded this. What I would really like to do this summer holidays, I would want to go back to Vietnam and swim... whether I swim in the beach or in the swimming-pool. It doesn't really matter to me. I looked at my old summer holidays pictures and... Just to say but I spend 1 hour to choose pictures I should put on my blog to make it more stunning and for you guys, to enjoy to see. I really recommend you to go there. Ask your parents to go to Vietnam because it is a really beautiful country. Especially in Hue, you have international tourists (even French were in the same hotel as me and they were shocked that I could speak French haha... Yes, I can speak several languages...). So go visit many city as possible in Vietnam and give me some of your reviews... |
